- A user-customizable application (Mac and Windows) that allows the user to reform and manipulate the performances of the score, creating a different experience on each listen.

Short description:

- a 48 member laptop/electro-acoustic orchestra

- User’s real-time orchestration and conduction

- User may create endless variations of the score and performances, providing a virtually infinite number of listening experiences

- User may also simply lie back, relax and listen, running the application without interference

- Opera Aperta (Open Artwork): users can incorporate their own sound files into the application

The special limited edition packaging includes:

- Hard PVC box lined with foam to contain the specially designed memory card

- A numbered (1 to 50/50), uniquely designed USB 2.0 memory card

- Special Booklet containing the composer’s words about the piece, complete performers list, graphic score and detailed instructions for the conduction and performance of the piece as well as the application’s installation and use.

The sound files represent an incredibly wide-ranging sonic library, featuring some of the most remarkable musicians in the electro-acoustic and experimental music field and allow the listener to create a 48-element virtual orchestra capable of endless combinatorial and orchestral possibilities.

The application handles the graphic score and controls the combinatory elements as well as the “orchestral” aspects of real-time, conducted composition.

Unlike traditional, fixed formats (CD, DVD, digital download), this application offers the possibility of an endless numbers of versions, new and original at each performance. The listener may also listen without otherwise participating, hearing the work as originally manifested, allowing the application itself to determine the orchestration of the score.

For the more radical and experimental sonic adventurers, the application allows extreme customization up to and including the ability for the user to introduce sound files (or any kind of audio recording) of his or her own, in combination with the embedded ones or supplanting them!
